Technical FAQ

1. What is a VPN?

VPN is short for Virtual Private Network. It can be considered as a technique for establishing a private network channel between the user and the destination server.

The destination server here is to send or receive user network data packets to the referred website owner's servers like Google and Facebook.

With secured VPN channels, web service providers will only know that they are communicating with the IP address of the VPN destination server rather than the actual user's IP Address. In addition, the government and the user's local telecommunication service provider cannot know what websites the VPN user has visited.

This is why a VPN user can access restricted content using a VPN and why a secure VPN can keep you safe and anonymous under censorship.

2. What VPN Protocols do you support?

You may see many VPN providers claim they support protocols like Open VPN and IKEv2. These VPN protocols are open sourced and can be easily used by any developers. However, being open sourced and widely used means the governments can also analyze the source code easily and detect whether your network data are sending in form of these protocols.

Fool VPN, instead of using open sourced VPN Protocols, is empowered by our own, patented VPN Protocol, which is called SPX by our develop team. The protocol is totally developed by our team, which makes the Fool VPN is maybe the most secured and fast VPN ever in the world. We spent almost 3 years in developing the most advanced network technic in order to provide this product to the public.
